ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) -Detroit Lions running back Aaron Brown did his best to share the stage with quarterback Matthew Stafford in their professional debuts.
Lions general manager Martin Mayhew said Monday that Brown did well, but made some mistakes in the preseason win over the Atlanta Falcons.
Detroit drafted Brown out of TCU with the sixth-round pick it acquired from the Dallas Cowboys in the Roy Williams trade.
The Lions might’ve found a gem. Brown showed he has enough speed for the NFL with a 32-yard run for a touchdown and a 45-yard reception for a TD.
Brown has to avoid the mental errors he made in the preseason opener such as getting flagged for a flip and lining up improperly on a punt.
