PITTSFORD, N.Y. (AP) -Buffalo Bills rookie safety Jairus Byrd has been cleared for practice after missing the start of training camp because of groin surgery.
Byrd, the first of Buffalo’s pair of second-round draft picks, began camp on the active/non-football-injury list.
The Bills hope Byrd, who was on the field for Monday morning’s walkthrough, can compete for a starting job this season.
