ST. LOUIS (AP) -St. Louis Rams quarterback Marc Bulger was removed from Saturday night’s preseason game after getting hit from behind in the final minute of the first half, but the team said he was not injured.
Bulger appeared ready to pass when he was drilled by the Chargers’ Jyles Tucker. The ball popped out of his hand for a fumble that was recovered by guard Jacob Bell. The team said Bulger’s arm took the brunt of the hit, but that he was OK, and after a few minutes on the bench he joined the rest of the offensive reserves near the field.
Trent Green replaced Bulger, who was 8-for-15 for 75 yards and two interceptions in the half.
