OXNARD, Calif. (AP) -Unhappy with how the Dallas Cowboys’ offense played during an afternoon practice session, coordinator Jason Garrett kept his unit on the field for a little more work.
Errant throws, dropped passes and other sloppiness were evident throughout team drills against the defense. So after the horn sounded and players stretched, Garrett sent everyone to another field for about 15 more minutes of slow-paced action.
Receiver Roy Williams said they “just repeated a period.” Asked if it was their worst one, he said, “All three periods were bad today.”
He also added to “look for big things from this offense tomorrow.”
Dallas has a single workout Monday afternoon. The team worked out twice Sunday, having done so Saturday as well.
