SAN ANTONIO (AP) -Felix Jones says it’s an amazing feeling to be back on the field with the Dallas Cowboys after his rookie season was ended by injury.
Jones missed the final 10 games as a rookie last season because of injuries. He finally got back in a game for the team’s preseason opener against Oakland, with a 9-yard catch and a 14-yard run on his only two touches, which came on the only touchdown drive by the starting offense.
Cowboys owner Jerry Jones said Saturday, after the Cowboys’ first workout since Thursday night’s loss in Oakland, that the running back is “instinctively clever.”
Felix Jones says that except for some general soreness, he has had no problem with the injured left big toe that ended his rookie season.
