WASHINGTON (AP) -The Washington Redskins realize that wins in August don’t make a playoff team, but there is certainly an air of confidence following a solid start to their preseason.
The Redskins topped the Buffalo Bills 42-17 Friday night, making a success out of the Washington debuts of coach Mike Shanahan and quarterback Donovan McNabb.
Even Albert Haynesworth had a few upbeat things to say. The two-time All-Pro defensive tackle broke a media silence after the game and said he now enjoys the 3-4 defense that he had been reticent to play.
The Redskins host the Baltimore Ravens next Saturday.
