ATLANTA (AP) -Testimony will continue in Atlanta in the trial of Denver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall, who faces a misdemeanor battery charge.
The charges stem from a March 2008 argument with then-girlfriend Rasheedah Watley at the downtown Atlanta condominium the couple shared.
Watley testified Thursday that Marshall shoved her and bloodied her lip after she got a text message on her cell phone from a male friend.
Marshall was present during the proceedings in Fulton County State Court.
The judge told jurors Thursday he expects both sides to wrap up Friday.
Marshall was suspended for last year’s season opener after a series of domestic disputes. NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has said a conviction in this case could lead to a second suspension.
