NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) -Tennessee starting defensive end William Hayes says tests show he only has a sprained right medial collateral ligament in his right knee.
Hayes walked off the practice field Tuesday with a trainer and doctor. He walked into the locker room Wednesday with a brace on his right knee, and he said he might miss at least a couple weeks. He is going into his third year and started 11 games last season.
Top draft pick Derrick Morgan has yet to practice with the full team because of injuries, and end Jacob Ford has missed three days with a hip flexor.
Receiver Damian Williams and safety Nick Schommer came off the physically unable to perform list and practiced in a special teams session Wednesday.
