MIAMI (AP) -A Miami judge is expected to hear arguments on suspended Cleveland Browns wide receiver Donte’ Stallworth’s motion to cut his time on house arrest and probation, which were part of his DUI manslaughter plea bargain.
A hearing on the motion is expected to take place Tuesday morning.
Stallworth served 24 days of the 30-day jail sentence after pleading guilty to DUI manslaughter. He struck and killed a pedestrian in an early morning crash March 14. Police said Stallworth had spent the night drinking at a Miami Beach nightclub.
Stallworth was suspended indefinitely by NFL commissioner Roger Goodell following the incident. He signed a seven-year, $35 million contract with the Browns before last season but was injured much of the year.
