CORTLAND, N.Y. (AP) -Jason Taylor was despised by Jets players and fans for years. And, the feeling was mutual.
The former Miami Dolphins star is one of them now, and he’s enjoying his first camp with New York. He says things have gone smoothly since signing with the rival Jets in April.
Despite sitting out some of practice Monday with a pulled groin, Taylor is expected to give the Jets’ pass rush a big boost. The NFL’s active career sacks leader is spending time digging through his new playbook – something he never had to do in Miami – and would love nothing more than to help deliver a Super Bowl victory.
Jets linebacker Calvin Pace says it’s still “weird” to see Taylor in green and white, but can’t wait to see what he can add to their defense.
