BEREA, Ohio (AP) -Browns coach Eric Mangini has talked to his players about the pitfalls of social media sites after Cleveland cornerback Brandon McDonald posted a vulgar message toward Terrell Owens on his Twitter account.
Mangini says he won’t ask his players to discontinue using sites like Twitter and Facebook, but he cautions them to watch what they say and to represent the organization in a professional manner. He is aware of McDonald’s posting toward the Bengals wide receiver and says the player will probably be disciplined.
Mangini says the sites are a good way for players to connect with fans. The coach says he has no plans to open his own account.
