ANDERSON, Ind. (AP) -NFL commissioner Roger Goodell has said he expects the Super Bowl in Indianapolis to be played as planned in February 2012.
Goodell answered reporters’ questions Saturday at the Colts’ new training camp site, Anderson University, after taking what player rep Jeff Saturday described as good, tough, informed questions.
The NFL Players Association fears owners will lock out the players before next season, and a work stoppage could force postponement or cancellation of the league’s title game – as has happened in Major League Baseball and the NHL.
But Goodell downplayed the possibility, saying instead that he expected the game to go off as planned.
