MANKATO, Minn. (AP) -Minnesota Vikings quarterback Tarvaris Jackson appeared to aggravate a knee injury on Friday that caused him to miss three days of practice earlier in the week.
Jackson came up gimpy after planting on his left knee while dropping back to pass during an evening practice. He limped around noticeably after the injury, but continued to participate. Jackson first sprained the MCL in his left knee last weekend.
Jackson is in a competition with Sage Rosenfels for the starting job. The players split snaps with the first team during two practices on Friday. He said afterward that he initially felt an awkward pop when he planted, but he felt fine after practice and would be OK.
