BEREA, Ohio (AP) -Shaun Rogers and Robaire Smith of the Cleveland Browns remain in limbo with NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell.
Goodell skirted the issue regarding suspensions to the two players on Thursday, but emphatically proclaimed that he wants a change to the way rookie salaries are handled.
Goodell spoke with fans, coaches and players during a visit to the Browns’ training camp. He addressed negotiations on a new collective bargaining agreement, rules to improve player safety, and said he is reviewing the cases of Cleveland’s two defensive linemen. He didn’t meet with them, however.
Rogers and Smith were arrested three months apart for carrying weapons through airport security.
