PITTSFORD, N.Y. (AP) -Buffalo Bills starting defensive tackle Kyle Williams hurt his right hand during practice as the team’s injuries begin to grow.
Coach Chan Gailey says Williams was having his hand examined, and didn’t believe the injury was serious. Williams was hurt an hour into practice Thursday. He was examined on the field by trainers, who then wrapped Williams’ hand before escorting him to the locker room.
The Bills opened the session with 13 players not practicing because they are either injured or given a day off.
Gailey updated Ed Wang’s status, saying the rookie left tackle will miss between four and eight weeks after having surgery on his left thumb. Gailey added rookie receiver David Nelson is out indefinitely with a leg injury.
