MANKATO, Minn. (AP) -Steve Hutchinson has become the unquestioned leader of Minnesota’s offensive line.
The perennial Pro Bowl left guard is the Vikings’ most experienced blocker, with former center Matt Birk now playing for Baltimore. Hutchinson has more of a lead-by-example style, but with several younger players around him he has been more vocal at training camp.
The ninth-year veteran is also sporting a thick beard, helping frame his image as one of the toughest, most ornery linemen in the league.
Hutchinson is in his fourth season with the Vikings after starting his stellar career in Seattle.
