ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) -Detroit Lions center Dominic Raiola says training camp has a competitive environment under new coach Jim Schwartz.
He also says he doesn’t think anyone in camp “feels safe” – and that’s a good thing. He says no one deserves to have anything handed to them on a team coming off the NFL’s first 0-16 season.
The Lions have seen some encouraging signs in training camp and yet they know there’s a lot of work to do. The new coach is rotating players in camp, meaning Raiola and some other starters find themselves watching.
