ST. LOUIS (AP) -The switch to the West Coast offense is taking some time to sink in for Rams quarterback Marc Bulger.
New coach Steve Spagnuolo hired Pat Shurmur as offensive coordinator, and Shurmur is going with the West Coast offense.
Bulger played for Mike Martz when the Rams had a wide open offense that overwhelmed teams. But Bulger has been forced to adjust to numerous coaches and offensive coordinators. He admits this change is taking some getting used to.
Bulger says he’s starting to get a mental picture when he hears terms for the new offense. And Spagnuolo has been impressed with the 32-year-old quarterback, who is trying to rebound after two sub-par seasons.
