GEORGETOWN, Ky. (AP) -First-round draft pick Jermaine Gresham has signed a five-year contract and joined the Cincinnati Bengals at training camp.
The tight end agreed to terms on Monday and flew in from Oklahoma, where he worked out during his six-day holdout. Gresham missed eight practices, but will get a chance to win the starting job during the rest of camp.
He has some catching up to do.
Gresham signed his deal, then put on his No. 84 jersey and jogged onto the field for an afternoon practice six minutes after the rest of his teammates on offense got started.
The Bengals open their preseason schedule Sunday against Dallas in the Hall of Fame game.
