FOXBOROUGH, Mass. (AP) -The New England Patriots have signed offensive lineman Barry Stokes and placed Anthony Clement on the injured reserve list with a knee injury.
Terms of the agreement with Stokes were not disclosed Saturday.
Stokes, 34, has played in 83 career games with 44 starts for the Miami Dolphins, Green Bay Packers, Cleveland Browns, Atlanta Falcons and Detroit Lions.
The 6-foot-4, 310-pound Stokes was originally signed by the Lions as a rookie free agent out of Eastern Michigan in April 1996.
Clement, 32, is a veteran of 10 NFL seasons with the Arizona Cardinals, San Francisco 49ers and New York Jets. The Jets released the 6-8, 320-pound offensive tackle in March.
