BEREA, Ohio (AP) – A person familiar with the meeting says Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon’s appeal hearing with the NFL lasted nearly 10 hours and will resume Monday.
Gordon is fighting a possible one-year suspension for failing another drug test. The Pro Bowler was in the league’s offices from 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday before the sides decided to resume after the weekend, said the person who spoke to The Associated Press on condition of anonymity because neither party is commenting publicly.
It’s not known if Gordon will return to training camp with the Browns before Monday.
Gordon’s lawyer contends he tested positive because of secondhand smoke.
