GLENDALE, Ariz. (AP) – Arizona Cardinals coach Bruce Arians says starting center Lyle Sendlein will be sidelined for three weeks with a calf injury.
Sendlein injured his left calf during the team’s first practice in pads on Monday.
Ted Wilson will take Sendlein’s spot with the first team.
Sendlein is one of two starters from last year on this season’s projected offensive line.
An undrafted free agent out of Texas when Arizona signed him in 2007, Sendlein has started all 16 games in every season but one since 2008. He had 81 consecutive starts before missing the final five games of the 2012 season with a knee injury.
