BETHLEHEM, Pa. (AP) -Philadelphia Eagles defensive end Chris Clemons is expected to be released soon from a hospital where he is being treated for dehydration.
Clemons was helped off the field at Lehigh University about two hours into the team’s Tuesday morning practice. He was taken to Lehigh Valley Hospital in an ambulance, but never lost consciousness.
The National Weather Service reported temperatures around 80 degrees under sunny skies at the time.
Clemons signed a five-year contract with the Eagles in the offseason and is competing for a starting spot.
