GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -The Green Bay Packers have signed fifth-round fullback Quinn Johnson, leaving them only two first-round draft picks to sign before training camp.
Terms of the deal were not disclosed Wednesday. Johnson appeared in 40 career games at Louisiana State. Even before his first full-contact practice, Johnson had impressed Packers coaches with his potential for physical play.
First-rounders B.J. Raji and Clay Matthews III have yet to sign with the team. The Packers’ first training camp practice is Aug. 1.
The Packers also released tight end Carson Butler.
