FRANKFURT, Germany (AP) - The NFL's development league in Europe folded Friday after 16 years.
The decision came less than a week after the Hamburg Sea Devils beat the Frankfurt Galaxy 37-28 in the World Bowl XV in Frankfurt, spokesman Maik Matischak said.
The league began in 1991. Five of its six teams were based in Germany, with the Amsterdam Admirals completing the field.
