DALLAS (AP) -Former NFL quarterback Ryan Leaf has not surrendered to authorities in West Texas to face burglary and drug-related charges.
Randall County District Attorney James Farren says Leaf hadn’t turned himself in by Thursday afternoon to face one count of burglary and eight drug-related counts associated with the painkiller Hydrocodone.
Farren says he doesn’t have a deadline for the former No. 2 draft pick from Washington State to turn himself in. The prosecutor in Canyon, Texas, says the appearance of a deadline came from Leaf’s attorney, who indicated Leaf had planned to surrender.
