PITTSBURGH (AP) – Pittsburgh Steelers defensive lineman Stephon Tuitt is looking for an expanded role in 2015.
Tuitt had one sack and 17 tackles as a rookie last fall. His playing time increased as the season wore on, and he is expected to compete for a starting spot with longtime veteran Brett Keisel out of the picture.
Tuitt says it took time for him to adjust to life in the NFL. He added he is paying stricter attention to his diet. Tuitt spent the offseason working on improving his upper body strength so he can shed blockers and get after the ball.
The Steelers continue organized team activities on Thursday. Spring drills conclude with minicamp later this month.
