PITTSBURGH (AP) – Pittsburgh Steelers rookie Bud Dupree is hoping to be a quick study.
The Steelers took the former Kentucky linebacker with the 22nd overall pick in the draft hoping he can help a pass rush that has struggled in recent years.
Dupree says the transition from college to the pros has been smooth so far. He is relying heavily on veteran James Harrison and fellow Georgia native Jarvis Jones as he gets used to life in the NFL.
While Dupree put up 23 1/2 sacks during his college career he says he knows he will be asked to do more with the Steelers, who are in the midst of a youth movement on defense.
