INDIANAPOLIS (AP) – The Colts have signed their top draft pick, receiver Phillip Dorsett of Miami.
Team officials did not announce terms. But in the rookie cap’s slotting process, Dorsett’s four-year deal should fit between the $8.7 million deal signed by Baltimore’s Breshad Perriman and New Orleans’ Stephone Anthony, who signed a deal for $7.7 million.
Perriman was selected No. 26, Dorsett was taken at No. 29 and Anthony was the 31st overall pick.
The speedy 5-foot-10, 185-pound Dorsett had 121 receptions, 2,132 yards and 17 touchdowns in college and is expected to give Andrew Luck another deep threat.
Six of Indy’s eight draft picks are now under contract. The Colts’ two third-round picks, cornerback D’Joun Smith and defensive tackle Henry Anderson, remain unsigned.
