FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. (AP) -NFL commissioner Roger Goodell’s stance on former Atlanta star quarterback Michael Vick has not changed even as Vick’s location has.
Goodell reiterated Wednesday, shortly after Vick left a federal prison in Kansas, that no reinstatement talks will commence until the entirety of Vick’s sentence is completed. Goodell said he will talk to Vick, to other people and have a background check done before he makes any ruling.
Vick will serve about two months of home confinement in Virginia, and is scheduled to complete that on July 20. He is currently on indefinite suspension from the NFL because of his involvement in a dogfighting ring.
