NEW YORK (AP) -Kyle Wilson is keeping his mouth shut and trying to learn the New York Jets’ defense.
Known as a chatty presence on the field in college at Boise State, the Jets’ first-round draft pick says he has a lot to work on before he can show some swagger.
Wilson, appearing with several teammates at a charity event Tuesday night, said All-Pro cornerback Darrelle Revis and former Pro Bowler Antonio Cromartie have helped him begin to adjust to life in the NFL. Wilson says he’s working on his technique and trying to “set a foundation” to add to what already ranked last season as the league’s top pass defense.
Wilson, the 29th overall pick, says there will be plenty of opportunity to talk on the field once he learns the defense.
