IRVING, Texas (AP) -Dallas receiver Roy Williams seems resolved to have a better season this year.
Drops and a lack of production have been the biggest headlines from his first 1 1/2 seasons with the Cowboys.
As the team held activities this week, Williams at one point made such an acrobatic catch that owner Jerry Jones made sure everyone else saw it. But a couple of plays later, Williams dropped a short pass.
Williams, the former University of Texas standout, hopes to make himself a go-to target for quarterback Tony Romo – especially with rookie Dez Bryant now in the mix. Romo says Williams is in good shape and running good routes.
