NEW YORK (AP) -The New York Jets have signed offensive lineman Matt Slauson, their sixth-round pick out of the University of Nebraska, to a four-year deal.
Slauson, the first of the Jets’ three draft picks to sign, is expected to add depth and versatility on the offensive line. The 6-foot-4, 340-pound Slauson has practiced mostly at right guard in mincamp with the Jets, where he started during his senior season at Nebraska.
He also has experience playing at both tackle spots.
Quarterback Mark Sanchez, the fifth overall pick, and running back Shonn Greene, a third-round pick, haven’t signed yet, but are participating in organized team activities this week.
The Jets waived cornerback Tyron Brackenridge, who signed in February.
