INDIANAPOLIS (AP) -Colts president Bill Polian told an Indianapolis radio station that assistant head coach Clyde Christensen will become the new offensive coordinator and Pete Metzalaars will take over as offensive line coach.
Polian announced the moves following the retirements of Tom Moore and Howard Mudd during a morning radio program on 1070-The Fan.
He says the retirement of 67-year-old Mudd and 70-year-old Moore didn’t come as a shock and the Colts knew a transition was likely.
Polian did not respond to an interview request from The Associated Press.
The longtime assistants decided to retire after league owners approved changes to the coaches’ pension plan earlier this year.
