NASHVILLE, Tenn. (AP) – The Tennessee Titans have done their best to improve one of the NFL’s worst offenses through the draft.
They wrapped up Saturday using seven of their nine selections on offense, giving coach Ken Whisenhunt a chance to revamp a unit that scored fewer points than all but two other NFL teams last season. Tennessee finished 2-14.
The Titans started by drafting Marcus Mariota at No. 2 overall, wide receiver Dorial Green-Beckham, and tackle Jeremiah Poutasi.
Saturday was almost all offense with four of six selections featuring running back David Cobb of Minnesota, fullback Jalston Fowler, center Andy Gallik of Boston College and wide receiver Tre McBride of William & Mary.
Lineman Angelo Blackson of Auburn and linebacker Deiontrez Mount of Louisville are the only defensive players Tennessee drafted.
