FLOWERY BRANCH, Ga. (AP) Coach Dan Quinn likes how the Atlanta Falcons are positioned heading into the last day of the NFL draft.
Though the Falcons selected Florida safety Keanu Neal in the first round and LSU linebacker Deion Jones in the second, Quinn says Falcons would like to add to both positions when they pick in the fourth, sixth and seventh rounds.
Quinn says Atlanta needs more speed and toughness to help with depth and special teams.
The Falcons also will be looking to add an offensive lineman.
They met a need by drafting Stanford tight end Austin Hooper in the third round. General manager Thomas Dimitroff says Hooper’s long arms and big hands will be an asset in the red zone.
