FLORHAM PARK, N.J. (AP) – Wide receiver Jerricho Cotchery and guard Brandon Moore are among a small handful of New York Jets working out at the team’s practice facility for the first time since the NFL lockout was lifted.
The NFL cleared the way for some of its basic football operations to begin Friday, five days after a federal judge declared the lockout illegal. Cotchery says he was “just glad to be in the building again,” while Moore joked that he was “on guard” while sitting in the trainers room, wondering if security would come get him if a stay of the lockout was granted while he was at the facility.
Moore said coach Rex Ryan sent the players an email telling them they would meet for voluntary workouts starting Monday.
