CINCINNATI (AP) - Tyler Eifert's first decision in Cincinnati is getting a little attention.
The tight end from Notre Dame has decided to wear No. 85, which is Chad Ochocinco's old number. The first-round draft pick wore No. 80 at Notre Dame, but went with No. 85 in Cincinnati because the number was available and he knew about Ochocinco's history - his many catches and his touchdown dances.
Eifert and his family flew to Cincinnati from Fort Wayne, Ind., on Friday to meet his new team. Coach Marvin Lewis hopes that Eifert will be as productive as Ochocinco.
The Bengals took Eifert even though they didn't really need another tight end in the first round. The run on linemen earlier in the draft left him available at the 21st overall pick.
