BRYAN, Texas (AP) -Former Houston Oilers quarterback Dan Pastorini has been charged with driving while intoxicated following a traffic accident in near Houston.
Bryan police Sgt. Steven Spillars (SPIL’-ers) says Pastorini was involved in the collision in Bryan, 90 miles northwest of Houston, late Sunday and was arrested early Monday.
Spillars says 60-year-old Pastorini, who lives in Houston, also was cited for not having a driver’s license. He says blood test results are pending.
Spillars says it appears Pastorini rear-ended another vehicle at a red light. The former NFL great was alone in his Mercedes at the time.
Bail is set at $3,000. No attorney was listed for Pastorini.
Pastorini was with the Oilers in the 1970s, then played for the Los Angeles Rams and the Philadelphia Eagles.
