CLEVELAND (AP) -Tight end Steve Heiden signed a four-year contract extension with the Cleveland Browns on Saturday.
Heiden is an eight-year veteran and entering his sixth season with the Browns. He had 36 receptions for 244 yards and two touchdowns last season as the No. 2 tight end behind Kellen Winslow Jr.
The 6-foot-5, 267-pounder caught a career-high 43 passes for 401 yards and three TDs in 2005.
He was acquired from San Diego in 2002.
