SOUTH BEND, Ind. (AP) -Former Notre Dame quarterback Jimmy Clausen is back throwing for NFL personnel for the first time since undergoing surgery on his right foot.
Clausen completed 57 of 59 passes during the 30-minute workout Friday. Both incompletions were on long passes to former Irish wide receiver Robby Parris, who dove for one of the balls. Clausen, who said his foot is at about 80 percent, didn’t run during the workout. He said he felt great and wasn’t in any pain following January’s surgery.
St. Louis Rams coach Steve Spagnuolo says Clausen looked healthy. Spagnuolo, whose team owns the first pick, wasn’t giving anything away, saying all the quarterbacks he’s seen throw have looked good.
