ASHBURN, Va. (AP) -Donovan McNabb is impressing his new teammates.
As Chris Cooley was talking Thursday about how easily McNabb was fitting in during his first week with the Washington Redskins, the six-time Pro Bowl quarterback was making his tight end’s point by looking in command as he threw to his new targets on an adjacent field.
McNabb was acquired from the NFC East rival Philadelphia Eagles for two draft picks on April 4.
Receiver Malcolm Kelly agrees that McNabb, who started five NFC championship games and a Super Bowl during his 11 years with the Eagles, is already having an effect on the Redskins, who were 4-12 in 2009.
