ALAMEDA, Calif. (AP) – Free agent running back Maurice Jones-Drew has agreed to a three-year contract with the Oakland Raiders.
The team announced the deal on Friday to bring Jones-Drew back to his native Oakland.
Jones-Drew was hampered by injuries and poor play his final two seasons in Jacksonville and was allowed to leave as a free agent. He had 8,071 yards rushing and 68 touchdowns in eight seasons with the Jaguars.
Jones-Drew will join recently resigned Darren McFadden in the backfield this season for Oakland.
