ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) -Calvin Johnson says he has faith the Detroit Lions will finally start winning.
The standout wide receiver, though, acknowledged Thursday he felt that way after they endured the NFL’s first 0-16 season.
Detroit won just two games last season, none the previous year and seven in 2007 after making Johnson the No. 2 overall pick in the NFL draft.
Johnson has joined his teammates for offseason workouts this week. He hopes newly acquired receiver Duane Burleson will make teams change their coverage of him.
He also hopes he has figured out a way to stay healthy after nagging injuries last season.
