PITTSBURGH (AP) -The Pittsburgh Steelers re-signed cornerback Fernando Bryant to a one-year contract on Wednesday to retain some secondary depth after losing free agent cornerback Bryant McFadden to the Arizona Cardinals.
Bryant, formerly of the Jaguars and Lions, signed with Pittsburgh on Nov. 11 and made three tackles in two games. He was inactive on game days most of the remainder of the season.
Bryant, a 1999 first-round draft pick by Jacksonville who spent his first five NFL seasons with the Jaguars, has seven interceptions in 112 career games.
