BUFFALO, N.Y. (AP) -Marshawn Lynch met with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell as the league reviews whether the Bills running back should be disciplined after pleading guilty to a misdemeanor gun charge.
NFL spokesman Greg Aiello confirmed in an e-mail to The Associated Press on Tuesday that the meeting took place earlier in the day. Aiello provided no details of the meeting or timetable for when Goodell will make a ruling.
Lynch faces league fines and suspension without pay for violating the NFL’s player personal conduct policy after his arrest in Culver City, Calif., last month. Police discovered a 9 mm semiautomatic handgun in the trunk of a parked car he was sitting in.
He was sentenced to 80 hours community service and three years probation.
