GREEN BAY, Wis. (AP) -The Green Bay Packers have finalized a two-year deal with Mark Tauscher, likely allowing the veteran right tackle to play his entire career for his home state team.
Tauscher, an unrestricted free agent, agreed to terms over the weekend. Financial details were not released.
Tauscher was the Packers’ starting right tackle for most of his first nine seasons in the NFL, but began the 2009 season out of football after sustaining a serious knee injury. The Packers brought him back in midseason and he returned to his starting spot, bringing stability to the NFL’s worst pass protection unit.
