EDEN PRAIRIE, Minn. (AP) -Minnesota Vikings coach Brad Childress has hired the son of Indianapolis Colts president and general manager Bill Polian to be his assistant.
Dennis Polian will be the new assistant to the head coach. He most recently worked in the front office for the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League.
Polian replaces Kevin Stefanski, who was promoted to a quality control position as an offensive assistant. The Vikings also announced Thursday that they hired assistant special teams coach Chris White and special teams and player development assistant Jason Glenn.
White spent the last nine seasons at Syracuse University. Glenn played six seasons in the NFL, last with the Vikings in 2007.
