BALTIMORE (AP) -A Baltimore County judge has granted a temporary protective order to the wife of former Baltimore Raven Michael McCrary.
The retired defensive end did not appear at the hearing Monday in Baltimore County District Court. Mary Haley McCrary claims her husband threatened her and a nanny who cares for their young daughter.
Judge Jan Marshall Alexander ordered McCrary to stay away from the couple’s home in Timonium, as well as a house in Vienna, Va. Another hearing is scheduled for next week.
McCrary’s attorney Bonnie Butler told The Baltimore Sun the former player “vehemently denies anything that would cause (his wife) to fear for her safety, for her child’s safety or any third party.” Butler didn’t immediately return phone and e-mail messages from The Associated Press.
