FALL RIVER, Mass. (AP) – The murder trial of former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez has resumed with testimony about tire tracks found near the body of the victim.
Hernandez has pleaded not guilty to killing Odin Lloyd in June 2013. Lloyd was dating the sister of Hernandez’s fiancee. His body was found at an industrial park near Hernandez’s home.
Massachusetts State Police Trooper Todd Girouard is back on the stand Thursday discussing a tire mark left near Lloyd’s body.
He said he matched up the track with impressions made by a rear tire on a Nissan Altima that Hernandez had rented.
The trooper pointed out places where he said stones were wedged into the tire tread, and said he matched them to the track left at the scene.
